Education Days:
Tweetsie's "Learning Express"

Take your students on a trip back in time! Tweetsie’s “Learning Express” provides a unique opportunity for teachers to make history, math & science both memorable and fun. For many years now, students have been able to study our historic steam locomotives and the importance of the East Tennessee & Western North Carolina Railroad (ET&WNC) in textbooks…with the “Learning Express,” students at all grade levels can do more than read about it—they can experience it first hand! The end result is a history, math and science lesson your students will never forget!

Purchase of an Education Days “Learning Express” daily admission ticket gives you a full day of fun at Tweetsie Railroad including the opportunity to take a ride on our “Learning Express” Train, which pulls out of Main Street at 11:00am and 1:00pm daily.

Our 2012 Education Days "Learning Express" will be offered every Friday April 20-May 25, and every Friday after Labor Day through October 26.

I just wanted to send you all a note to thank you for being around for all of these years. I came to Tweetsie as a kid (back in the late 70's) and had a great time. Now, I get to bring my kids back to do the same. We brought our then four year old daughter last October for the first time. She had been asking ever since "When can we go back?" We were able to bring her back this past Sunday and she was absolutely thrilled. She is now asking when we can bring her baby sister to Tweetsie with us. So I want to thank you all again for doing such a wonderful job and to say that we are already planning to see Tweetsie again year!”
