2013 Tweetsie Railroad Media Policy
We welcome and encourage visits to Tweetsie Railroad by members of the media, and will do everything possible to ensure you have an enjoyable Wild West adventure at North Carolina’s first theme park.
Please email your request to Tweetsie Railroad (contact information provided below) at least three days prior to your scheduled visit. The request should contain your assignment and be sent through your business email account. If approved, your ticket(s) will be held at the ticket office located at the park entrance. Please bring your media credential or business card, as well as your photo ID when you claim your ticket(s).
If your outlet or organization prefers you not accept complimentary tickets, please contact us and we will issue a full admission ticket for your visit.
We typically fulfill media requests within a 250-300 mile radius of the park, and outlying location requests on a case-by-case basis. Due to the tremendous number of requests, we must limit complimentary media tickets to the following categories:
- Print Media – Publishers, Editors, Reporters, Writers and Photographers
- Web Media – Bloggers (case-by-case basis), Web Editors, etc.
- Broadcast Media – Station Managers, Producers, News Directors, Assignment Editors, Program Directors, Videographers and On-Air Personnel (Anchors, Hosts, etc.)
- Freelance Writers – Must present written confirmation of assignment with application
Camera crews, film crews and photographers must be escorted by a Tweetsie publicity representative at all times.
Videotaping or photographing on Tweetsie Railroad grounds for commercial use, for-profit purposes, not-for-profit organizations or enterprises, educational productions and student projects must be approved and scheduled by the marketing department. Auxiliary lighting, power cords, cumbersome equipment or other trip hazards are not permitted during operating hours. Activities must not impede access or negatively affect visitors.
We try to accommodate all requests, but final decisions are made at the discretion of Tweetsie Railroad. We appreciate your interest, and look forward to your visit.
