Tweetsie Railroad strives to make our guests' visits fun, safe, and memorable. For this reason, beginning our 2024 season the park is implementing a Chaperone Policy. The new policy includes:
Chaperone Requirements: All guests 15 or under in age must be accompanied by a responsible adult chaperone who is 21 years or older. The chaperone must remain in the park during the entire visit and be available by phone to each person in the party.
Chaperone-to-Guest Ratio: For every 10 guests age 15 or under, there must be at least one chaperone that remains in the park during the entire visit and be available by phone to each person in the party.
Identification: Chaperones may be asked to present a government-issued ID upon entry into the park. Photos of IDs will not be accepted.

Pass holders from Tweetsie Railroad® can save $10 off a Day Time Admission Ticket, Limited to four tickets; when your valid Tweetsie Railroad Golden Rail Season Pass is presented at Biltmore's Reception and Ticketing Sales Center or purchase them in advance by calling 800-624-1575. You will pick up your tickets at "Will Call" by presenting your season pass. Youth ages 10–16 are half the adult price, and kids 9 and under are free with a paying adult. Yes, as long as you have a photo I.D. Our Ticket Office staff will be able to look up your information and you will be able to enter the park for the day.
Once you purchase a pass, you will receive a voucher (either print-on-line, mailed or to be picked up from the Ticket Office on your first visit for the season). You will present this voucher at the Ticket Office and they will take your photo and print a new Golden Rail Season Pass for the current season.
No. Golden Rail Season Passes are non-transferable and assigned to individuals with a name and photo.

Yes, before leaving the park, return to the Ticket Office and the staff will be able to upgrade your ticket.
Yes. You can enjoy the park during all daytime operations with a Golden Rail Season Pass. However, your pass only includes one train ride with Thomas the Tank Engine™ during the event, on the day of your choice (subject to availability).
No. Each Golden Rail Season Pass holder is allowed to purchase one ticket with a discount. Any additional tickets will be at the regular price. You are welcome to attend the event for additional nights by purchasing a ticket at the regular admission price.
Only daytime general admission tickets may be used towards a Golden Rail Season Pass upgrade, this includes Day Out With Thomas™.
