Frequently Asked Questions

Tweetsie Railroad strives to make our guests' visits fun, safe, and memorable. For this reason, beginning our 2024 season the park is implementing a Chaperone Policy. The new policy includes:

Chaperone Requirements: All guests 15 or under in age must be accompanied by a responsible adult chaperone who is 21 years or older. The chaperone must remain in the park during the entire visit and be available by phone to each person in the party.

Chaperone-to-Guest Ratio: For every 10 guests age 15 or under, there must be at least one chaperone that remains in the park during the entire visit and be available by phone to each person in the party.

Identification: Chaperones may be asked to present a government-issued ID upon entry into the park. Photos of IDs will not be accepted.

We believe that this new policy will help create a safe and enjoyable environment for all our visitors, and we appreciate your cooperation in making 2024 an incredible year for everyone!

A daily admission ticket includes a ride behind one of our historic narrow-gauge steam locomotives, live Wild West-themed entertainment, the Deer Park Zoo, classic amusement rides, and panning for gold. Additional expenses are food and retail-related including animal feed, gem mining, arcade games, souvenirs, the penny press, and all food venues. Parking is always free.

Daily admission includes unlimited rides on the Wild West Train Adventure behind one of our historic steam locomotives. Special events, such as Day Out With Thomas, Ghost Train and Tweetsie Christmas are limited to one ride. Tickets must be purchased for a specific date and train departure time.

The only additional fee you may incur would be a $2.00 processing fee per ticket if you order your tickets by phone. Parking is always free!

Rain showers can be brief. If it rains, try visiting our indoor attractions such as the Tweetsie Palace Can-Can Revue, Palace Magic show, Hopper and Porter’s™ Musical Celebration on Miner's Mountain, or the Arcade. Rain ponchos may be purchased at any of our retail shops. If our rides have to be shut down for the remainder of the day due to rain or thunderstorms, you can get a rain check so you can return to Tweetsie Railroad another day during the current season.

Rain checks are not valid for admission to Day Out With Thomas™ or the evening Ghost Train® and Tweetsie Christmas® events.

Cash, debit, and credit (American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover) are accepted forms of payment throughout the park.
