Yes. Sections of the park are level; however, due to mountain terrain, there are some hills. There is a bus that runs regularly from the Tweetsie Palace up to Miner’s Mountain. Both the Wild West Train (second car) and Mouse Mine Train are accessible for standard-sized wheelchairs. All show and food venues are accessible to guests with special needs. Wheelchairs are available for rent at the Photo Depot on Main Street ($10 per day). Guests are encouraged to bring their own wheelchair. Yes, pets are allowed at Day Out With Thomas. Pets must remain on a leash and attended at all times. Pets are not allowed on the train, on rides, in the Deer Park Zoo, the bus, or on the Chair Lift. Please have a member of your party look after your pet while you ride the train and other rides. Pets are also prohibited in food service areas, unless they are Registered Service Animals.

Yes, Tweetsie welcomes service animals, as that term is defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”). Consistent with the ADA, a service animal may be excluded from venues, rides, or attractions when the service animal poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others; permitting the service animal would require a fundamental alteration in the nature of Tweetsie’s operations; the service animal is not under control; or the service animal is not housebroken. For example, a service animal may be excluded from rides on which the service animal cannot be safely restrained from falling or being ejected. Service dogs are also excluded from the Deer Park Petting Zoo due to the presence of natural prey animals that could become aggressive or agitated by the service dog’s presence. If your service animal is excluded from a particular venue, ride, or attraction, Tweetsie will work with you and your party so that you can enjoy the venue, ride, or attraction without your service animal.

Because Tweetsie welcomes pets to the park, it might not always be obvious that a particular animal is a service animal. In those circumstances, as permitted by the ADA, the staff member might ask you whether the animal is a service animal required because of a disability and what work or tasks the animal is trained to perform.

Emotional assistance animals, comfort animals, and other assistance animals that do not meet the ADA’s definition of service animal are welcome to attend the park, but will not be permitted in any area where pets are not permitted.
