Our Live Entertainment Shows feature the music of various genres and styles. We are looking for singers, dancers, actors, equestrians, magicians, and technicians, to become a part of North Carolina’s first theme park. Tweetsie Railroad provides steady work, competitive pay, unique benefits, and valuable experience.

General Performers

Wild West Train Adventure

Spend your day entertaining guests of all ages as you hop aboard one of our historic steam-powered locomotives for an action-packed Wild West Train Adventure.

Performance Season: April - October

Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

To audition, prepare a 60-second monologue from a play, movie, or original creation. (Note: monologue scripts will be available.)

Diamond Lil's Can-Can Revue

Experience high kicks—and hijinks—when you are dancing on stage in the Tweetsie Palace for Diamond Lil's infamous Can-Can Revue.

Performance Season: April - October

Must be 16 years of age or older to apply.

To audition, prepare a monologue (from a play, movie, or original creation) and song, totaling 90 seconds. In addition, be prepared to learn a complex dance combination. Email [email protected] for a copy of the dance before attending the audition.

Hopper and Porter's Musical Celebration

Perform a live musical as one of Tweetsie Railroad's most beloved costume characters, Hopper the Rabbit, a hare-brained train engineer, or Porter the Turtle. Also casting for "Jenny," an out of costume actor / handler who is the true brains and voice of the show.

Performance Season: April - October

Must be 16 years of age or older to apply.

Tweetsie Railroad Country Clogging Jamboree

Be part of a high-energy musical variety show featuring a mix of traditional and contemporary styles of clogging.

Performance Season: mid-June - Labor Day

Must be 16 years of age or older to apply.

To audition, prepare a brief 60-second dance demonstrating your most proficient styles.

The Magic Show

Astound and entertain audiences of all ages with your gift of magic.

Performance Season: April - October

Must be 16 years of age or older to apply.

To audition, present a 120-second routine exhibiting your skill in close-up magic. Magicians must provide their own props.

Specialty Performers

Equestrians

Save the day when you ride into the "Frontier Town" and give high fives to passengers on the train as part of the Wild West Train Adventure.

Production Crew

Technicians & Costumers

We are looking for technicians and costumers with university, theme park, or professional theatre experience.

Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Apply at auditions (note specific times for production personnel at Regional Auditions) or at the Tweetsie Job Fair.

Special Event Performers

Ghost Train

Ghost Train shows are a little more chilling in nature than our daytime operations. We are looking for singers/dancers, puppeteers, and actors to perform in an assortment of shows including:

  • Ghost Train Ride – ghost riders (conductors) and scene performers around the track.
  • Haunted House – gruesome characters dispersed in various rooms.
  • Freaky Forest – ghastly creatures in hidden alcoves through a wooded maze.
  • Palace Spooktacular – family-friendly black light puppet show.
  • Costumed Characters – throughout the park, providing up-close and personal frights.
  • Make-up Artists – simple face painting to elaborate special effects – scars, wounds, bruises, or fantasy creature designs for haunt actors.
  • Technicians – assist in the setup, operation, and dismantling of various technical elements.

Performance Schedule: Friday and Saturday evenings, mid-September - October

Tweetsie Christmas Performers

Sing in the holidays with the Tweetsie Christmas Variety Show.
