From the glow of Christmas lights to the nostalgia of a historic steam-powered Christmas train ride, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here’s a sneak peek into what you can expect when you visit Tweetsie Christmas.

As soon as you arrive, you’ll be transported to a Wild West town completely transformed for Christmas. Every corner of Tweetsie Railroad shines with holiday lights, decor, and the joyful sounds of classic Christmas carols filling the air. Imagine walking down Main street surrounded by thousands of twinkling lights, Western storefronts, and festive displays—it’s like stepping into a Dickens storybook.

Tweetsie Christmas is more than just an event; it’s an experience that brings holiday traditions to life. Whether you’re visiting with young children, grandparents, or an extended family group, this event invites everyone to step into the joy of an old-fashioned Christmas, where memories are made and the spirit of the season shines bright.

1. A Real Train Ride Behind a Historic Steam Locomotive

Hop on board an open-air train pulled by a historic steam locomotive and enjoy a three-mile journey through the mountains, surrounded by sparkling Christmas lights. With sing-along carols filling the air, families can join in the songs they remember from their own childhoods.

2. Visit Santa in His Gingerbread House

Santa himself awaits families inside his larger-than-life Gingerbread House! Kids will love this chance to tell Santa their Christmas wishes and take memorable holiday photos in a setting straight out of a fairytale. The Gingerbread House, filled with oversized candies and whimsical decor, is a must-visit spot for families looking to capture the magic of Christmas.

3. Amusement Rides and Exclusive Attractions

In addition to the Christmas Train Ride, Tweetsie Christmas offers four classic amusement rides and the Blizzard attraction for everyone to enjoy. Young children can hop on the Bikes & Buggies or the Jingle Bell Rockets, while families can ride together on the Little Drummer Boy teacup ride or the Himalaya. These festive holiday rides, decked out in lights and decorations, bring extra joy to the season.

4. A Heartwarming Christmas Show

Catch the spirit of the season with this family-friendly show packed with holiday music, laughter, and seasonal cheer! With multiple showtimes every evening, you won't miss this entertaining highlight. If you arrive fifteen minutes before the park opens you can enjoy caroling on the front porch of the Ticket Office to start your evening off on the right note!

5. Cozy Up with Holiday Treats and Warm Fire Pits

No holiday outing would be complete without seasonal treats! Take a break and warm up with hot chocolate, homemade fudge, or roast s’mores by the cozy fire pits. These treats are a perfect way to relax and add to the festive atmosphere.

Dates: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening from November 29th - December 30th, plus additional nights the week before and after Christmas. Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve.

Tickets: $60 for Adults (age 13+), $40 for Children (ages 3-12), free for children age 2 and under. Golden Rail Season Pass Holders save $20 on one ticket to Tweetsie Christmas. More info>
